Awesome job and greetings from NYC. Do you see the Islanders making a splash either on draft day or chasing some free agents? They have so far to go to get to the cap floor that they are going to have to do something don't they?

A: Garth Snow has a track record for wheeling and dealing at the draft and I suspect he will consider anything thrown his way in the next couple of weeks.

The Islanders, like all NHL teams, are eager to see what the collective bargaining agreement is going to look like. A new CBA may help guide them, but the Isles will have to comply with whatever the structure of the salary cap is. However, without a new building and the ongoing speculation over the future of the franchise, selling free agents on the merits of moving to Long Island is a very difficult challenge.

The Isles are a good, young team that isn't far from being a very good team, but the uncertainty that plagues this organization definitely impacts the on-ice product.

Jason Garrison (D) has transformed into a blue line scorer with a heavy shot, 27 years old, perfect age for the Isles, 6'2" 218, good size, would be a great compliment with Hamonic.

Joe Corvo (D), Tim Gleason (D) or Bryan Allen (D) and maybe Rozsival.........I have faith in Garth!

I dont recall where I heard it, but Johnny Oduya might be an option for the Isles.

I think the Hawks just extended his contract racecar, so they'd have to trade for him. Kubina will be available and I don't see the Flyers bringing him back, he might be an option for a big d-man.

Oduya re-signed with Chicago.

Jason Garrison, perfect guy, he is making like $675,000, give him $2.3-2.5 Million a year, he's Isles Property!
