No if for no other reason Nixon rose from the ashes after his 1962 loss in his run for governor.  Factor in Goldwaters thomping/shellacking in '64, the GOP base was ready for "anyone" to take over the mantle.  That was a six year span.  Gore has been out of the loop for twice that long and while many of his causes are justifiable, many still don't even believe in global warning.  Hell, many Republicans still think the world is flat.

He was on the job as VP for eight years and basically - he didn't f it up. He got by just fine. He can do it again as President, no problem. He won, he got the job and was ripped off. I hardly know much abt the guy, but i got a right to be p,o,'d abt what happened to him. We , as a nation have the chance to say - hey we f'd it up, now go take what's yours. Rightfully.

Why wouldn't we be two sides of the same coin?

It's one country, right?  Not two countries or more.

So the parties represent different sides of the same unit.

Why wouldn't 'WE' be 2 sides of the same coin?   That presupposes that there are only 2 sides, that there are only 2 ways to look at it, that the Party nonsense is rational in the first place.   It's a hoax....they want to pigeonhole the peons......wake up, everybody.

The revelation is not that the Parties want our votes, that the Parties exercise power, or even that they are 2 sides of the same coin.   The revelation is that they agree on  some of the worst crap that Americans ought to be ashamed of.   And we're too busy chasing the Dem/Rep hoax to listen.

I think Climate Change is the preferred vernacular over global warming.  The Earth is always cooling or warming in cycles-  depending. Ice ages and all that, right?

I would say the % of people who think that human activity cannot, or is not changing the climate would be miniscule. 

Mopst Republicans (and very many Democrats) would be in the What do we or can we do it about it? quandry. 

We could keep making our ultra-clean cars cleaner and claner and we do but...  If China is building and using reocrd numbers of coal factories...  that pollute a hundred times more than we do... India, Africa...  all want to get in the game-

WE are pretty damn clean now!  Do we break our modern economy going for those extra tiny bits of clean, if the rest of the world is rushing pell-mell into the abyss with pollution, such that our continued improving efforts make no difference at all?

I know nothing about him but he will vote the same as Warren and I am happy about that.  But I would have liked to see Barney in the Senate, even for a short period.  He would have been another Bernie Sanders

I think we have seen enough of Barney.  I actually like the choice.  I like the idea of going outside the political spectrum.  Even if it is going to bve a surrogate for Deval's wishes. 

And for the record, I hammer Deval, but he is not all bad.  The dude does some have some good qualities.
