Going with the live version of this 60s song:

Come on, turn the lights out, man
Turn it way down
Hey Mister Lightman
You gotta turn those lights way down, man!
Hey, I'm not kidding, you gotta turn the lights out
Come on!
What do we care

The End  --  The Doors    From the July 5, 1968 performance at the Hollywood Bowl, where Mick Jagger sat up front with Jim Morrison's girlfriend Pam.  The Stones and The Doors had dinner at Mu Ling's Chinese restaurant on Sunset Boulevard before the show.

I rode into town last night, it must've been a quarter to three
I was look for a place to crash, have some company
I saw you baby, sitting at the end of the bar
Hey honey, won't you come home with me? Won't you jump into my car?

Brown Eyed Girl  --  Van Morrison

And we strolled the walls and kicked our heels
Upon the grass on which we fell and sang a song
We loved to sing so well,
And the raindrops came on down on Sally's head
As she cuddled up inside a coat of red and said,

Next Lyrics: A song from the early 60's used in Animal House

True love means planning a life for two
Being together the whole day through
True love means waiting and hoping that soon
Wishes we've made will come true

NEXT LYRICS: This is from the 1971 self titled debut album and was written by one of my daughter's librarian's favorite children's authors. I remember that the song was somewhat controversial when first released but kinda got overlooked when another song from the same album climbed to #5 early in 1972. The band is probably most famous today for their pursuit of a prominant place in a popular magazine that remains in publication to this very day although it lost it's spot as a serious music magazine many, many years ago IMHO.

____________,you say you wanna be loved
For what's inside
I don´t know much about horses but you
Sure picked a funny place to ride

Every man's just a clutchin' hand
Reachin' out to grab you
Every man's a quiverin' lance
Tryin' hard to stab you - don' let 'em nab you

Hey Lady Godiva - Dr. Hook and the  Medicine Show

I had no idea that Shel Silverstein wrote this song.
GREAT find, Fans!

And I still have a subscription to Rolling Stone and still enjoy it most of the time.
I've probably been getting it delivered to my house for over 30 years now.
