I'll try THE SEEKERS, briefly popular group in the mid 60s from Australia instead of the more obvious THE SEARCHERS.
Not what I was looking for.  The band I'm thinking of is well outside of the genres I usually use.  Their name can be deciphered almost word for word from my cryptic.

I'm pretty confidant that Men At Work is who you're refering to.

Business as Usual, their debut album is one of the 1st albums I ever bought.  If my memory serves me I bought that and Billy Squiers Emotions in Motion at the same time.  Not exactly a strong endorsment for my early forays intomusic.
