so i guess sweat lou is off dannys radar sense we havent heard even a wisper about that. as for terry/dooling if terry backs up rondo that would be nice off the bench even at his age he still averaged 15 ppg off the bench... and really we need youth more in the 4 and 5 spots which ainge has already accomplished.

Getting JET is huge.  The dude can play shooting guard and point guard...and he is a hard working guy who knows how to win titles and take the big shot....I do hope Etwan develops enough to threaten his spot.  A big pick up.

I hope they don't re-sign Ray. I'd rather take a flier on a second tier SF/PF. I feel him and JET would play too similar of roles and I want Bradley starting from day 1 next year.

Ray put some nice years in here and I'd hate to see Miami add him, but I'm not willing to pay a guy 6 mil/yr to be a bench player who can only shoot jumpers off picks.

Agreed wildcats after signing Terry (who I think will be more effective than Allen and is only taking the MLE) Allen is a luxury we can afford but shouldn't take it anyways. They can afford to bring back Green now and use whatever cap is left to bring in the best available wing player or big guy. I'd like Camby over Kaman. He is a better defender and a capable rebounder and with a distributor like Rondo I don't think Kaman's edge on the offensive end is worth however much more he'll want. Camby can knock down open jumpers too. Ilyasova would be interesting although he has so much hype surrounding him I have a feeling he will be asking to much. If they really want to make create a serious 1-2 year window when they will still be serious contenders Antwan Jamison would be an interesting guy. Him and Terry coming off the bench would be a nice one-two offensive punch. Then fill out the roster with resignings starting with Stiems, Pietrus, Wilcox.

Celtics have a lot of options but the contract Garnett got and them giving Terry the MLE indicates they want to make a push for another title in the nest 1-2 years. They have a really nice 3 man rotation at guard with Rondo, Bradley, and Terry. I think next step should be securing two legitimate ball players to give Pierce and KG good rests throughout the season to keep them fresh throughout the year. If the Celtics could find a way to keep Stiems and Green and sign Jamison and Camby I'd be very excited for next year.

i also agree Ray Allen isnt worth bringing back both because of his age/condition but also because of the dynamice with him and rondo. i think getting green back and maybe even just resigning pietrus would be more effective then going all out for the sake of reuniting the big 3....

ainge said he wouldnt be afraid to break up the big 3 i think nows the time for him to put his money where his mouth is. id much rather have bass back even though he was offensively sparatic.. he was far more consistant than ray allen. pluss having sully bass kg melo and steamer would be really good set of bigs and its easily obtainable without having to break the bank.

They should bring Ray back (bird rules allows them to go over)  or do a sign and trade with Ray allowing him extra pay and celts a draft pick or two.

A sign and trade would be great! But I'm not totally opposed to ray coming off the bench I'd just rather have terry do the brunt of the 3 point shooting though I must admit having Jason Terry and Ray Allen as your 2nd unit is really quite excellent

With you guys losing Allen, Pierce and K.G. will be older. J.T. is a good pickup. But teams are more athletic than the Celtics. Who benefited from watered down playoff matchups. I.E. the Hawks without Horford, and then the default winner of the 1st round series vs the Bulls, the Sixers. All of which took the Celtics pretty deep in each series. And perhaps even 7 games if not for a blown call from a ref that could have changed the outcome of the game(the inbounds foul by Marquis Daniels vs the Hawks). And add the fact that as soon as Horford came back, which was a little too late, the Hawks were definitely outplaying the Celtics. Granted they were without Allen, but Bradley was healthy at the time.

The only series I give the Celtics props for was vs the Heat. But AGAIN they benefited from a watered down roster without Chris Bosh for a few games. As you see as soon as Bosh came back, the series was pretty much over for the Celtics. And yes I predicted this even with the Heat down 3-2.The Celtics were definitely in the right place at the right time this year to make a deep playoff run. And came a game short. Expect for them to fall short again next season.

Teams will be more athletic, outrebound them, and attack the middle. Pierce and K.G. will be a step slower. I also wouldnt expect for both of them to stay healthy throughout the full season next year. Fortunately they play in the East where you can suck and still make the playoffs. Then make an OK team look better for beating some scrub team that really shouldnt be in the playoffs. The Celtics have a 50 50 chance to make the playoffs or be in the lottery next season.

So my prediction stands. See you in the lottery next season Boston fans. The Big Three now the The Big Two And A Half.

Bye Bye Ray Allen. Doesn't matter. He wont be seeing the Celtics in the playoffs next season even if they make it. Wont go deep in the playoffs. Read it, write it down, take a picture.

I love how Tripp dubb was dooming the Celtics rebuild because they had old players like a 37 year old Ray Allen. Just like Perkins the guy leaves the celtics and now he's in his prime again... Tripp Troll is having fun tonight

Obviously Tripp Dubb doesn't realize the Cavs were only relevant in the Celtic world when Lebron was there.  New flash, Tripp.  There is no long standing rivalry between two the franchises.  It's over.  Come on.  It's Cleveland.

Well Davwy, your a honest hater of green.   I cant understand how any Cavs fan can keep LBJs face around.    What happened to rivalry

Well we certainly have one between Miami and Boston now.  The story lines are deep.  Evil vs good

This offseason is "Heating" up

Keep the rebuild on Danny

Hate to see Ray go. especially to the Heat, but I do not think it makes the Celtics any worse. I still like this team. Resigning Brandon Bass, Kevin Garnett, and having a great draft picking Jared Sullinger and Fab Melo. Plus bringing in the Jet Jason Terry, and Jeff Green being back and hopefully healthy. This Celtics team can be as good as last years and maybe better, plus building on the future

Well Davwy, your a honest hater of green.
Thanks, and sorry to hear of the Ray Allen defection.  I was actually hoping he would resign since there wasn't a way he could join the Lakers (which would have been a nice dig.).  Miami was the last place.  I could actually stomach him going to the Thunder, which would have been a more sentimenal choice for him, though that would not have help the Lakers' cause.
