Draft-day trades can wreak too much havoc if we try to pick teams - we'll stick to where guys are taken regardless of team. Given the way the Dolphins have played things so far, I don't think they'll turn themselves inside out for Tannehill unless they really love him. If he falls to them at eight I think they take him - I think it all depends on Richardson. If nobody trades with the Vikings to get him, I think the Browns take Richardson and Tannehill falls to your guys. But I suspect someone trades up to the three spot to take either Tannehill or Richardson.

If Richardson falls to 6 the Rams will draft him.

I don't think Richardson will ever make it to 6. The trade that makes all the sense in the world is for the Rams to trade picks with the Vikings (for like a sixth-rounder or something). The Vikings probably still get Kalil even at 6, and the Rams get their guy. The Browns may not care so much for their pick after that and could trade down, possibly to the Fins for a similar throw-in. The Browns may freak, though, when the Vikes are on the clock and the phone is ringing, and give up to much to compete with the Rams to get to #3.

Not gonna happen Wil.  The Browns will take Richardson, Claiborne or Blackmon.  If they get Richardson, they'll probably get a WR and then an O-lineman with their next two picks.  If they take Blackmon, then they take either another WR or O-lineman with the #22 pick and an RB in the 2nd round.  They have too many options to freak out since they have so many needs and 13 picks in the draft.  They may trade down if.  As I said earlier, the Browns pick at #4 really dictates how most of the 1st round shakes out since they have so many options.

In my opinion, the Rams aren't trading up.  They've got just as many holes to fill as the Browns and they just got a kings ransom in picks in their trade with the Redskins.  What they need to do is start rebuilding.  They'll probably be more than happy to have Richardson, Claiborne, Blackmon, or Kalil.  One or two of those guys makes it to them at #6 and they'll be happy to pick who's left.  They need help and youth at all of those positions anyway.

Rams to trade picks with the Vikings (for like a sixth-rounder or something).
Just looking at the trade value chart, which isn't exact when it comes to trades, the Rams would have to give up a 2nd and a 6th to make that one even.  The Rams should be in rebuild mode and will more than likely keep their picks.

The only possible trade up I see is maybe the Dolphins for the Vikings' #3 pick to get Tannehill.  I just can't see Tannehill being worth the #3 pick though.  He no sure thing and a project QB should not even be a top 10 pick.  And besides, the Dolphins need help at a few positions as well, namely WR.  I could see them maybe staying put and taking Floyd and then maybe Weeden or one of the other QB's in the 2nd or 3rd.

Personally, I see the first 8 picks the way I picked them......................otherwise
I would not have picked them that way.........lol..........can't see Richardson dropping past Tampa Bay (and not Cleveland either) but if they did I would say the Rams would swoop. Now I could see the Vikings taking Richardson. AP is 27 years old and has a little mileage (and a jacked knee).

So, Duff - are you backing that up with a list of your own?

About AP - didn't the Vikings just give him hellacious cash? Plus with Gerhart performing well in AP's absence, I can't see them taking Richardson. They have more pressing needs.

Thinking about it more - let's have anybody on our list who doesn't go in the first round count at the spot they're actually taken in the second (rather than be counted at #40). That way we might have a little suspense from Thursday to Friday.

This is just my take but Richardson might be the best back this year and might be the best in several years but it's been proven that you don't need that one great back to win in the NFL. To many teams have won getting backs later and using the early picks on other positions.

Not me, Wil.  I'm just a speculator and one trade here or there throws the whole list out of whack.  I'm pretty good with knowing NFL teams needs.  It's just sometimes what teams need and what they draft are two different things.  Not to make fun or anything, but the deceased Al Davis and his Raiders were a perfect example of want versus need where want tended to win out.

(TheHuddle) New York Jets OG Matt Slauson said the team will essentially have two different offenses this year with QBs Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow being mixed in. Sanchez will be the starter, but the team plans to use Tebow as an H-back, fullback and running back. Tebow will also be used as the 'personal protector' on the punt team. 'You guys will be really surprised by what Mark's going to do this year,' Slauson said. 'The way we're going to be running things plays right into Mark's strengths, running the ball. It'll be very similar to what we did in Rex's first two years, very much a style like that - heavy run, heavy play action and whipping out a deep ball every now and again. That's all the stuff Mark does really well
So is that a typo or did one of Mark Sanchez's teammates just say his strength is running the ball? If you have a QB that can't run and your teammates think that is your strength, then you have issues..............

Great point Doug. Don't forget about my Bears and former GM Jerry Angelo. We needed a left tackle and WR, yet he continued to draft defensive players. No one was a smart as Angelo (in his own mind). So very glad that Angelo's gone.
