Call me nuts, but I think that's kind of a beautiful job. You walk, which is already a great and underrated thing, and as time goes by you get to know the people and history of the neighborhoods you serve. I was surprised how much better our mailman knew our last neighborhood than I did. Even though mail is a lot less personal than it used to be, you can still know a lot about a household by the kind of mail they get.

Remember, when you control the mail, you control information!

Okay, sorry. How's this:

A bowl of oatmeal tried to stare me down. And won.

Yea I wouldn't mind walking around it would keep you in great shape I'm sure and your outside. Better then being stuck in an office I say. I too had to work a half day anyway. I would think being a mail man the benefits would be there. surprised to hear they are not, cut backs I guess.

Well, on another note - I will finally get to see what Spiller is made of now that Jackson is out for the year.

I live in the country and the mailmen seem to have a great job here. One of my wife's uncles works as a mail carrier part time. He says its great.

LOL - sorry, Sam! What time did you have to clock in today?

Got up at 3AM, got to work at 3:30, left at 5PM. Got bitched at all day long by customers who don't understand certain policies no matter how many times you explain it to them. Good times!

Hey guys, is there any way I can get into this next year? Maybe split some of you guys up and make 2 leagues with some of you guys in both? I am sure we can find other gurus that would like to be in them. I am in a couple leagues with my friends, but it just isn't as fun because I dominate. I love competition and would like it if I could join! Thanks guys and let me know!

Sam I remember my retail days. In the pharmacy we didn't get any busier but we would just set back and watch the madness.

Sorry to hear so many had to work this long weekend- particularly Sam in retail on Black Friday.
Being a tax accountant, we take as many days as we can this time of year as January-April will be here all too soon. I spent the Friday with my 29 year old daughter. We went and bought running shoes, music and books-small shops, little crowds. Then to a nice Itailian dinner with red wine, then on to see the DU Pioneers play hockey. It is a bit of a tradition for us-my wife calls it our "father/daughter day". It was as good as it sounds.

Fuzz that does sound fun. I spent today at my daughters one day basketball tournament. It was in a very very very bad part of town and we played some very rough inner city teams. Our girls held their own. We lost 2 of 3 and there were several fights. Tough in your face man to man defense. After the inital shock of being called a bitch over and over my daughter put a shut down d on the girl she was guarding and we played them a lot tougher but still lost. Some 13 year old girls don't act 13.

Interesting all around.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Scape got off to a nice lead over Fuzzies, thanks to Mr. Robinson. And I'm in a hole against Sam because of that beating the Ravens put on the Niners' O. I think Alex Smith is still looking around corners to make sure he can't see Terrell Suggs and Cory Redding before stepping out into the street.

And Best is finally on IR, so at least that question is over with. Glad they're taking care of him.

Good luck everybody.

Well, I am officially out of the play offs now (thanks Joe). I thought for a second there I could pull off a Tebow. As if I had won and One4 had lost it would have made me one game behind him with 2 to play and I play him next week, things could have gotten interesting. But, it didn't happen so congrats to one4 for clinching our division, congrats to joe for avenging his loss to me in week 1 and congrats to all of you for keeping the talented Mr. Foot out of the playoffs.

But like Big Arny always says, "I'll be back." Good luck to all the teams still alive as winning this league is definatly an honor and one accomplishemnt that I personally would love to add to my fantasy football resume one day soon (like next year).

Well said, Foot. Joe, technically, is not out of it yet. If Nicks outscores Sproles by 7 tomorrow, Duff will drop one4 to 7-5. And if Joe puts up sick points the last two weeks he still has a chance (as long as you beat one4 next week).

Manic Monday

With the Central and Wild Card lead up for grabs and lots of match-ups too close to call, tomorrow's results are critical for half the league.

Scape (6-5) vs. Fuzzy (6-5) for the top spot in the Central

Scape: 34-point lead + Kasay
Fuzzies: Ingram + Brees

This one should come down to the wire. Whoever loses will be a game back not just of the Central, but a game or more back of the wild card lead as well.

Wild Card positioning - wilwhite (5-6) vs. Sam (7-4)
wilwhite: 16-point lead
Sam: Victor Cruz

If I win, the wild card stays within reach of the other contenders. If I lose, things look bleak for everybody except maybe Lefty.

Wild Card positioning - Lefty (6-5) vs. DUB
Lefty: 10-point lead + Jimmy Graham
DUB: Colston (good luck there, DUB)

A win by Lefty makes it very tough for anybody but Sam to slip into the wild card. (A win by DUB cements a playoff spot, but that's almost a done deal anyway.)

Wild Card positioning - Boomer (6-5) vs. Treff
Unless Boomer gets 15 from the Saints D, Treff beats him (Boomer gets a Dr. Foster's Anti-Awesomeness Award anyway for leaving AP on his roster), and Boomer will have two teams ahead of him for the division and three or four ahead of him for the wild card.

If Lefty and I both hold on to our leads, Lefty will be in playoff position for the very first time this season, despite being first or second in points ever since Week 5.

p.s. Depending on the outcomes, Treff might finally be Not Last in something - Breakdown, where he'd overtake Foot.

Hey Chris
Just wanted to wish your boy Kasay good luck tonight. Hope he gets 5 or 6 extra points...right after Brees throws a TD pass.

So Will, all I need to do is beat Lefty next week and I'm in, right? This week against DUB really isn't that important as I have alot of ground to make up in points. So I think I will rest all my starters for next weeks game. Hope the HC's for all those teams get the memo's

Oops..just checked again and man that would be a bad idea.............if I beat DUB by 15 points we would be as tied as tied can be..........if Lefty wins he would be a game out and still in it with the points tie-breaker....welcome to the FF BCS.

my pick of Rivers may have finally done me in.

At the start of the season I had Brees as the #2 QB so I was surprised he was still there in the 2nd round of our draft. I did grab Rivers in another league and along with Jamall Charles and Fred Jackson has doomed me to the Toilet Bowl...and even then I will be expected to lose. Chris you did well with Rivers at the helm so far.
