DBDoug 12-12 (3-3 this week, just like every week)
Wish I were .500 in league play instead Cry

On the bright side though, Treff and I are locked in a death struggle for the title of "The Biggest Loser"

  • Both of us are 0-4
  • I've got 341 points scored to Treff's 340 - the 2 lowest scoring teams
  • In the Breakdown: Duff 11-32-1   Treff 12-30-2
  • VS. each other in the breakdown: Duff leads 1-2-1
  • Both tied for last in the Power Rankings

Looks like this one may come down to our Week 7 matchup

This is league is shaping up to be a real Titanic vs. the iceberg thing.

Just as long as no one starts singing that gawdawful Celine Dion "Titanic song" (Yell), I can deal with it.

Sorry, Duffy, I can't help it. I can hear Celine wailing already:

Every week in my league
I'm choking, I'm losing,
Sometimes I wonder why I go on.

Far behind my leaguemates,
My team's in a shambles,
But Foster's come to show he can run.

Oh. And four.
Why can't Hillis score?
I'm just glad
I sat Nate
Burleson.

Ro. Mo.
With Grossman I go.
Fifty points on my bench
And my losses
Go on and on....

Not the greatest game by my team but a win is a win.
I can't believe I bought into the Shoone Green preseason hype only to be let down two years in a row.

For those following along, Sam had AJ go down, and traded Beanie to Foot for Fitz. (Foot's in a pickle this week because of byes.)

Foot, its no secret that I'm not a big beleiver in Beanie Wells, and I don't really think he's got much potential long term with that offensive line, or that defense givng up what is usually a boat load of points.

that being said, he's better than the any of the RB's you've got, you overpaid for him, but it was a needed move.

I pretty much agree with Treff. Beanie is not very exciting, but Hightower got Torained, Bush has to deal with Thomas (and Slaton doesn't look like much help there), Spiller will just give Fred Jackson a breather until FJAX completely falls apart, and Tate is a very iffy prospect with Foster looking good. SO you needed somebody.

On the other hand, you gave up a very solid every-week player in Fitz, and now you've only got two WRs on your roster and will need a lot of hits from the waiver wire to get you through the byes. (Beanie himself is on a bye Week 6.) I think you might have been able to do better for Fitz if you shopped around, but maybe you've got a hunch about Beanie.

Duff suddenly looks tough, though, and I don't look so hot this week.

I wouldn't say a hunch. it just looks like they want to run the ball more in ARZ. Unfortunatly the defence is not so good and may cause them to fall behind there for making them have to throw but, and that's a kingsize but, but it's just posible they will want to run more to keep the defence of the feild so I can see them running more than they have been. That's what I am banking on.

Back in Utah for meetings but I do get a chance to go to the library. Not being a richard Foot, but I want everybody to know the deal I was pushing for was McGahee and Lynch for either Fitz or Wallace or either McGahee or Lynch for Stevie. I really think Foot should have taken deal 1 or 2 as he would have had 2 STARTING RB's that will get points each week(actually McGahee has been doing well since taking over). Foot countered well but with all of the injuries I couldn't give Weeenie up too cheap. With that said, if you looj at his needs this trade made sense IMO, just the first one made more IMO. Good luck and don't kick my ass too bad Mr. Boomtown. What do you guys think?

Not big on McGahee or Lynch Sam! Quite frankly I would rather take my chances with Spiller than Lynch. At least ARZ runs the ball enough to warrent going after beanie plus beanie is putting up some number 1 rb like numbers and I don't think that will change if he can stay healthy. Fitz has been good but he has frustrated me a bit as he keeps getting double teamed and all though he will be steady 1 I just think they run way to much for him to truly blow the doors off a team.

I mean sure he will a few games like that but I am in need of a solid 1RB not two low end 2/3 Rbs that are putting up single didgit weekly numbers. I am very happy with our deal. And I am lucky to have gotten a deal at this point cause I would have had no chance this week with the RBS I would have had to go with.
