Just heard the news that MCA from the Beastie Boys, aka Adam Yauch, passed away this morning at the age of 47. I know not all of you are fans of theirs', but I can tell you that he was a very talented guy-and a very devoted human rights activist. The world lost a good man today.

THE STONE PONEYS:  "Different Drum"
One of the first songs I can ever remember really liking when I was a really young kid.  Funny to find out later that it was written by my favorite Monkee.  His version is almost a completely different song.  Nesmith did a very abbreviated version of the song on an episode of The Monkees.
