Wow! I've got to hand it to you clean. I know a lot of rare unreleased Springsteen songs(and have several booteg recordings) but that was a new one on me. i did some research on it and it is indeed a song written by Bruce. It was when he was in a bar band with his Jersey buddies called Steel Mill. They never recorded any music but they did play that song live at least once in 1970 (3 years before Bruce and the E Streeters started) and there is someone out there who has a cassette recording of that show. It has not appeared in any of the regular Springsteen bootleg communities out there but I will keep an eye out for it now thanks to you! And yes, that would have been a wild connection!
