bb,
Shane Skov, like his talent, nose for ball, instincts, size, but I don't like his injuries. Best person for Colbert to get a read on him is David DeCastro. Sort of like how Mauarkice Pouncey sold Marcus Gilbert and Chris Rainey to the War Room.

The DE that was slated to take Nick Perry's spot, Devon Kennard, out of the season, torn pec.

I for one and not buying the USC are the favorites to win the NCAA Bowl Series, and I certainly do not think Matt Barkely is the best prospect in the draft. He may be taken first overall, but there will be players after him that will be much better pros. No he is not the next Jimmy Clausen, even though he has that punk look, I think he will be the next Matt Leinhart.
Your National Champ is going to come from the SEC, just way too talented and deep a Conference to not think along those lines.

Speaking of DE's that could play OLB, Hhre is the latest from Dane Bugphuccer, came out a few months ago, looking past Aaron Mellette, there are some good small school players that will be drafted in 2013.
9. DE David Bass, Missouri Western State (6-3, 258): Bass contributed immediately as a redshirt freshman in 2009 and has progressively improved each season. Last year, he broke a school record with 20.0 tackles for loss and led the conference with 14.5 sacks, one short of the single season school mark. Bass, who is one of the most decorated defensive players in program history, has 28.0 career sacks and is on pace to break several career records in 2012.
Watching the Bears and Broncos and guys we looked at in the draft.
Gabe Carimi is not as polished as predicted, Alshon Jeffrey has good hands a big body. Star of the show for the rookies was Shea McClellan, even though he had a PF and got trucked on a TD, he was all over the field and had a sack with lots of pressures and a QB hit, that should have been intercpted by the DT , who promptly dropped it. A familear face was Thaddeus Gibson, who lined up at RDE and forced a bad throw by the Bronco's QB.
One more guy I thought could make a living in the slot in the NFL was Dane Sazenbacher in the 2011 draft. Both he and Jeff Mahel were similar players who lit up the 3 cone drill. As Mike Mayock says, Quicker than fast.
From a few years back, a small school Sleeper that burghball liked, Xavier Omon ran hard and decisive. The only problem was it was later in the game against some guys who will be cut. You can look at that another way too, the guys blocking for him are not first teamers either. IMHO it was his leg drive and desire to move forward, no dancing around.

I got into it with Walter of Walter Football because he had him going in the first round in his mock. I told him he was too small too slow and his response was that Brandon Flowers is the same height and plays well.
