wvujax...great post.
All too often, most people think of miracles as 'parting of the sea' type events. Few recognize the miracles they witness each and every day. Judging by the ones you have listed, you have been truly blessed in your life...more importantly, you know it. Too many people forget Who is responsible for their good fortune and then blame Him when things start to fall apart. I thank God each and every day for what I do have because I know that without Him in my life I would have nothing. The sea doesn't have to part to be a miracle. It could be as simple a thing as waking up in the morning to a new day, a new hope.

Michael,
You are so right about this! In the short time that I have been a Christian most of the miracles I have seen were small ones that would go unnoticed by almost everyone. I recall seeing a Sunset that was so beautiful that I gazed at it in wonder with tears streaming down my face. The biggest Miracle that God has wrought in my Life is the change of heart which has allowed me to become open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the desire to learn God's word.
God Bless.

You got food? could you leave the door unlocked so I don't wake you? God bless everybody. Hope you're having a good weekend
Kaz, my witty Christian bud, I think this ^ flew over there head. I got it ;) LOL
He was posting a funny off your post below Jack ;)
Tony, you and your wife are still in my prayers. I would appoint you to my cabinet and you wouldn't have to pay the taxes, but the only cabinet I have is in the kitchen and it is full of groceries (thank God).

Consider it done bro. I saw this on espn last night, he was not very old :(
xerxes10, That is awesome! Thanks for sharring.
Xerxes, Praise the Lord and I will be praying for your complete healing
Stu, I will be praying for the family, friends and loved ones of Larry Miller
Tony, I thought he was kidding at first, but I wasn't sure after this later post and I meant to PM him, but as happens so may times on here it didn't PM.
In a way I was implying more than food. More like a miracle. But that's good to know I won't starve to death. Good stuff by the way.
God bless
Jack
Xerxes...glad to see you here, my friend. I'll add you to my prayer list for a full recovery. At least you're putting your faith and trust where it belongs.
I don't know if everyone has seen Sissy's post on her blog but if you haven't, please be sure to pray for those involved in the accident at the lake where she lives. Thank God they rescued the little girl that fell through the ice and found the rescuer who got trapped under the ice. It was unfortunate that one of the rescuers died at the scene of a heart attack. Remember those involved and their loved ones and friends. Say a special prayer that the rescuer in the hospital recovers.
May God Bless.
Michael
xerxes10, praise the Lord for a diagnosis of something treatable. Please know you will be in my prayers daily as will your family. May God continue to bless you and give you all comfort, strength and endurance! It may not always be easy, but we are never alone.
Thank you, Michael. I'll post the news report and prayer request here too:
I would like to ask for prayers for an unfortunate event we had up here today. Some children were playing on the ice on the lake, and a 5 year old girl fell through. The other kids went for help and the mother got the 911 call made. The first responders arrived and began the rescue when one of the men died of a heart attack on the scene and a second man got lost under the ice. Divers were able to rescue the little girl and then found the rescuer who was trapped under the ice. He is in the hospital fighting for his life now. The children were not injured seriously. No further medical info was given on the kids. No names were given in the initial news report. Please pray for the family and friends and coworkers of the rescuer who died on the scene, for the rescuer who is critical in the hospital and his family and friends and coworkers, and for the kids involved. This was an horrific scene on the lake here today.
I am sorry to report that the second rescuer died tonight and the 5 year old girl and two others involved have been hospitalized. There is no identification of who the two others are or any medical info on the condition of the three who have since been hospitalized. Please pray that the Lord would comfort the friends and family of the two men who died today in the ice rescue and pray for healing for the three, including the little girl, who are hospitalized. May God bless the souls of the men who gave their lives to save the little girl.
VOD 02/22/09: It’s All About Him
VERSE:
1 Timothy 6:18-19 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. (NIV)
THOUGHT:
Paul is writing to believers here, and he is not saying they must do this so that they can get saved. Rather, he is saying that when they are rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, then they will lay hold on what eternal life is all about. It is not about the things you possess; it is not about the blessings God gives you. It is about a relationship with Him. If you are blessed, realize the main thing is not your riches and wealth. They can be very transitory. Friends, keep your eyes on God and keep your trust anchored in Him. He is what life-real life-eternal life is all about!
PRAYER:
Our Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this day and all of Your blessings. Lord, let us not forget from where our blessings come. Guide us throughout the day to set a good example of how one should conduct themselves in regards to work, family, and worship. Keep our faith and trust in You strong, for because of You, we are who we are, and will be.
We ask these things in the name of Your most Holy Son, Jesus the Christ…Amen.
Good morning to all. My thoughts and prayers are with you today for a safe and blessed day.
May God Bless.
Michael
Greetings,
It is so good to find a site where God is not mocked and we can all share our thoughts and prayers together. I literally just stumbled on this board..... so very glad I did.
I have a situation needing prayer and even though I am a newcomer to this board and I dont know anyone either personally or by previous conversations on the site , I will share it with you all so we can lift it together before the throne.
I have been married for a little over six years. The realtionship mentally and spiritually died 4 years ago. I have tried to do everything in my power to make things work --because of the kid(2 boys 5 & 8) --because it was the RIGHT thing to do. I felt like I was fighting a losing battle and I realized what the scripture meant by not being unequally yoked. No matter what I did nothing worked. I could not continue down the path of destruction any longer. I have now decided after much prayer and thought and some separation, to divorce. Knowing the way that the marraige has gone, the list of things we argued about, and general lack of agreement, I am afraid things will get "messy." I am totaly at peace that this is the right thing for me to do, but the boys stand to suffer the most; and I want them in my life and want them to know that my love for them has not diminished.
Please pray that thing go as smoothly as possible, and that i dont have to go without seeing my boys for too long of a time...... yet not as I will but everything in God's timing, His way, and for His glory.
Thank you for your support.
May God bless you all
