The Gary Sheffield experiment is now over. I'm not too upset about it. He some good the first season he was here not much after that.
I know there is more going on, I'll read back through and try and get caught up.
I must have been drunk when writing about Sheffield in my last post. It made no sense.
What I was trying to say is that he basically sucked last year...even when he was healthy. I would have liked him to hit his 500th here (he would be the first player to get 400 let alone 500 in a Tiger uniform), but he wasn't good last season.
Hopefully that made more sense.

I do not want Stafford. I have serious reservations about bringing in another high draft pick qb to this city. The line scares the crap out of me, I can't imagine trying to stand behind it and throw.
They need to do some serious o-line work with the draft. Let Cutler run around behind the line. At least he has some experience at this level.

Fantasy question - pay team, 12 man deep league. 5x5 roto style scoring. I did good at every postion except 1B. I have Giambi and he's been suckin this spring and its worrying me. He's my only player eligble for 1B too. So I picked up kotchman the other day (thinking I would start him the first week or so until Giambi shows some life in his bat), but I don't like him and was wondering if I should take a chance on Travis Ishikawa. What would yall do? Well I don't know much about 5x5 but I'll give you my 2 cents. If possible get Sandoval from the Giants. He should be 1B eligible. But from what I have read about Travis Ishikawa he has huge upside as well. I'd keep Giambi and take a flyer on Travis. I think thats your best play. BTW, thanks for heads up on that cheerleading site. Outstanding!

I totally agree with you Madcow. If I were Mayhew I would try to work a 3 way deal with the Broncos and the Browns and get Brady Quinn. No I'm not drunk or smokin' anything. The Lions don't have enough cap space to get Cutler and their no. 20 pick. So if they got Cutler, and I will cost them the #1 pick, then they have to trade the #20 pick and then you have no first round picks at all. Now what they should do is pass on any QB this year and wait till next year when there should be about 6 very good QB's entering the draft. No need to waste the #1 pick on a QB this year.
I agree with the Lion's passing on Stafford this year...next year will be much better (McCoy. Bradford, Tebow, etc.) & you know the Lions will still have a high pick next year...
I hope you meant Brady Quinn would end up in Denver...cause I don't want him...the boy can not throw past 15 yards...did you watch him last year? He was the "king of the check off"...never throwing to his wideouts or throw long...only to Kellen "soldier" Winslow...way overated!!!
