As far as racing goes I could care less. The NBA all-star game was good last night. They actually played defense this year, as opposed to last years continuation of the dunk contest. The dunk contest was awesome, especially as a Knicks fan, we dont get to win much these days. I agree the side of the backboard dunk by Superman was awesome. I think the 12 ft dunk was even better, but he made it look tooooo easy. Yes Nate Robinson put a hand on Howard, but he didnt vault off of him. Therefore I think he deserved to win. Jumping over Spud Webb was cool a couple years ago, but going over 6'11 Howard is awesome. Good sportmanship from Dwight Howard for letting him attempt it to. Very entertaining dunk contest.

Good morning all - interesting weekend in sports. The NBA failed to thrill, NASCAR got rained out, and some prominent college ball teams got beat. Meanwhile my work "to-do" list has hit 60+ items so I'll try to drop on in again tonight.

I am in serious need of some NFL free agency chatter. The Broncos badly need help at D-line, LB, and S and I'm hoping that the front office being about $50 million under the cap can add a few impact players. My realistic wish list is Rocky Bernard (DT), Channing Crowder (LB) or Bart Scott (LB), and either Jermaine Phillips (S) or Oshiomogho Atogwe (S). Anyone else looking for their team to make a splash in NFL free agency?
My G-Men need help at the receiver position. Losing Plax showed down the stretch and in the Philly playoff game. I don't think we can roll with Sinorice Moss, Steve Smith (not the really good one) and Hixon. Love to see A. Boldin come to the Giants.
Broncos 7, the 49ers are my favorite team, but I think they are more than a few free agents from becoming a contender. However the Denver Broncos are my second favorite team and I think they are just a few defensive players away from being a contender. That and a healthy running back.
If Hillis and Torain can stay healthy it could be an interesting season for the Broncos. The two negatives against them, the defense and the 2009 schedule. That schedule is ridiculous!
