Jonvi, you broke one of the rules! Can't use that W word that you will be retiring from on this thread. I didn't set a good example above, but you used it twice, that is $20 my friend. Pay Up.

02 was the first year of the Liberty and it is a Chrysler. It is a chick car but comes in handy on days like these. The new body style of the Liberty is a lager, better looking vehicle. The one you are talking about is a Wrangle Apache, they do look tough. Never had a Dodge, always been a GM guy. Wife has a Nissan Rouge AWD. Little 4 banger motor but I had that thing over 90mph comfortably on the way home from VA, until the snow starting flying.

You drive safe too, get home and have a couple a three Jontinis and wait it out, it will be over before you know it.

Just started the stupid practice this year. Already had...............

Athena
Brutus
Caesar
Draco
Euclid
Freyr
Gandolf
Helen
Iago
Jove
Khan
Luna
Magnus

And no.....I'm not kidding......they've really done it!

Had no idea, never heard a name used before. I would contest that those are not even names though. Maybe Helen but the rest are names that I have never known a living person to have.

We did have a guy here at word that was Vietnamese, his name was Con, but not Khan. Isn't that from Star Trek or something.

Welcome Jonvi and Redseat.  The B&G is always open to good folks, and open minds, with a sense of humor.

And a good morfternoon to my friends, Sith, Khep, JP, Larry, Phoggy, Jonny, Abez and Bucky too.

Rok, you don't need sports when you have mesquite trees to trim... You should keep the branches and use for smoking...now that you're a Texan you gotta get a smoker!

Never fear, Jonny.  Have one being made by a nephew as I post this.  No hurry though as every one of my in-laws here have their own, and I've been enjoying their expertise quite regularly since we arrived.  Stockpiling mesquite wood here for smoking and use in the fireplace is never going to be an issue as long as I can still use pruning shears and a chain saw.

Sith, sending my good wishes to you, Khep, Bucky, Redseat, Jonvi, Fore, Catfish and any of our other friends in the path of this snowstorm you're getting.  Stay warm folks.

Senora finally got in to see the doc, and he diagnosed her with an upper respiratory infection, so my nursing duties continue.  She'll be okay in a day or two.  To damn feisty for any other possibility.  lol  Not a good patient either.

Larry, sorry I forgot to mention hockey the other day.  Glad that you, JP, PCK, Blitz, Jonny and others that follow the sport have something to enjoy.

Khep, I've got a vacant lot for you about a quarter mile down the road if you're really tired of living in the north country buddy.  Smile  No snow in sight around here.  Will be a bit chilly the next week though.  Sunny skies, but only average of about 60 degrees farenheit for highs.  Wink

Gotta run folks.  Be well.

The good news is the Senora has the best Nurse ever...........lol

My thoughts are with her Rok for a speedy recovery...........tell her to go stand by the Ocean and breath in deelpy......do not laugh Sea Air is great for Respiratory Problems.

Keep doctoring Rok, sounds like you got it covered.........sorta.

Would love to move out of this over-taxed State, but not until the wife and I both get canned. It is beautiful in New York. Up where Sith lives and Jonvi too, are scenery havens. I'm closer to the Finger Lakes Region, awesome here too. Too short of summer but I'll deal with that for the time being. Have a friend that moved to Dallas a couple of years ago, says it is super hot in the summer, don't know if I could handle that.

Bout to head out, should be a long ride home. Snowing like crazy, the heavy crap.

You're not kidding. I've said the same thing to my wife and it almost happened ( she lost her job ) but I'm still at mine..........for now at least! Doubt I'd find a job that pays what mine does even though there are other plants throughout the US.

Saratoga Springs is nice, and Lake George as well. I live in Saratoga County. Near the Battlefield. A lot of horse farms and not very crowded. You need 300 feet of road frontage to build on my road which is nice. Prevents you from having to watch your neighbors pissing in their bathroom from your couch.

Hey right back at you, andyh!

Things are good on the farm. We have had a mild winter, and have just started feeding hay. Which is great since we have such a limited supply due to the barn fire.

We got a nice rain this week, but our ponds are still dry.

Lil one has had a month and a half off after graduation and commissioning. She leaves On Tuesday for her base. Not thinking about how much we will miss her.

Yes, the Irish had a great year!

You take care and don't be a stranger!

Good morfternoon Larry, Sith, Jonny, Khep, Phoggy and...

The B&G!

A big thanks to all sending good wishes for the Senora's recovery.  Something must be doing the trick cause she's a bit feistier today.  Undecided

I was thinking we should get together for that ballgame this spring or summer... Redz v Rockies , let me know what you think. I may be down there in tejas at some point, my sister has moved to Austin, ...maybe I'll come by your place for that drink on my way..

Sounds like a plan, Jonny.  I'd be proud to buy you a beer...or 12.  And, if you're dropping down to visit your sis in Austin, the door here is always open my friend.  Cold brew in the fridge, and a steak to be tossed on the grill is available to.  Oh, and a bed to rest your weary bones too.

Big change for your sister moving from Amarillo to Austin.  Panhandle to the Hill Country is not just a big change in scenery, but a helluva culture shock too.  LOL  I have a niece and nephew, and their families, living in Austin.  Their mother lives here still, but she makes the drive over to visit three or four times a year.  Her route isn't interstate as much as it is state roads, but it's the straightest shot from here.  I can get it for you if you decide to come this way.

Larry, thanks for the sea air advice buddy, but the nearest salt water is the Gulf of Mexico, and that's about 500 miles from here.  Wink

Khep, Ohio is my home state, and I loved living there, but as with you and Sith, the taxation issues became to heavy a burden to bear, especially once we decided to retire.  No state taxes here, so we're both happy to have made the move.
