From CSN New England, reportedly, Rasheed Wallace is back:
CSNNE.com has learned that the former Boston Celtic forward plans to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers.

...

"His days as a starter in this league are gone," said the source. "I think he knows that, and so do the Lakers. But think about it. Of the big men that are available, is there one that's really better? And if he's gotten himself in shape, adding him becomes a huge get for them."

The Lakers could use a better backup big that can hit from range, as Troy Murphy has severely disappointed, Jason Kapono can't get time on the floor and they lack a legitimate back up center. The question is whether Wallace has anything left in the tank. At 37 years of age, it's going to be a challenge to get back in shape, a challenge to get into the offense, a challenge to be able to play consistent minutes. This is a pretty big gamble for the Lakers, even on a minimum deal.

That said, Rasheed Wallace is back. Both teams played hard, my man, both teams played hard.

Also, can we mention that Rasheed and Ron Artest will now reportedly be on the same team? How amazing is that, given the brawl?

Report: Rasheed Wallace to sign with Lakers

Are things getting desperate in Laker City or what?  Sheed had a nice three pointer, but come on...I thought we laid him to rest...Maybe Kareem or Wilt will be willing to plug some holes too???  This move is incredible to fathom!

They only way that the Lakers and Kobe get another title is if they switch leagues and start playing in the D League!

The Clippers are the new LA team and the Lakers have NO SHOT at catching them!   Sheed or no Sheed...they are a team that will make the playoffs and LOSE in the first round!

Which only serves to prove the recent rumors that lunatics are now running the Lakers asylum.

This is great, It makes me want to hate the Lakers that much more.  Rash-Weed and Met-a-piece pipe and weren't they going to sign .357 Gilbert,  I like Gasol but the stars on this team are all A-holes.   I'm glad they aren't looking for a point guard because that is what is missing not another big man.

Twinsfan1973, what world are you living on? It must be planet Moron. When was the last time the Wolves were even in the playoffs? 2003-2004. Shut up dude.

What does 03-04 have to do with it? This is 2012 and the standings say the Lakers are only 3 up on the Wolves. Now by the end of the month is moronic remark seeing as how there is only two games left for Minnesota, one of which is against LA, but by the end of the season? It isn't illogical to think the Lakers will keep declining.

Report: Rasheed Wallace to sign with Lakers

Lakers opened up a roster spot by releasing Caracter a month ago, they desperatly need a legit point guard...... my thought was that they would fill Caracters old spot with a point guard, i guess the lakers decided against Gilbert Arenas. Hopefully this works out for the lakers.

by the end of the month, the timberwolves will pass the lakers.  lakers are gearing up to dump salary and rebuild. wolves are way better now, especially if we get kevin martin from houston. we already have a top offense, and get hardly any scoring from the shooting guard spot.  wolves are indeed a premier team. our dynasty starts with a mid round playoff run this year with a title next year.

What's going to happen first, Rasheed Wallace hitting a three or getting rung up for a technical foul? I'm pretty sure someone in Vegas got odds on this. Well anyway, not a bad move for the Lakers. Rasheed is going to at least give a good 15-20 minutes off the bench, but still can't fill Lamar Odom's void.
