Matt Barnes will see your fan face mushing, Michael Beasley, and raise you to suckerpunching an opponent.

Just hours after Beasley, forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves, pushed a fan in the face at a New York City exhibition games, Barnes, a forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, reportedly upped the ante at a Bay Area pro-am game.

Barnes, who was arrested on domestic violence charges in September and suspended by the NBA for shoving a rival assistant coach to the ground in April, reportedly socked an opponent in the face during a game on Thursday night.

Los Angeles Laker Matt Barnes got into a fight Thursday night at a Pro-Am game in San Francisco. It happened at the Kezar Pavillion during a game between Barnes's Dream Team and a team called East Bay. Barnes apparently punched an East Bay player in the face, but the refs didn't see it and Barnes wasn't ejected from the game.
In an interview posted on TrueHoop.com, Barnes discussed the punch.
"There's only so much I'm going to take. I'm a grown man first, so if you think you're going to come out here and rough me up and cheap shot, I'm not having that s***.  He elbowed me and pushed me, so he got one. People just think they can talk any way or do anything to ... me. You can't. You can't do that, cuz you know people are men out here. So if you think you're going to come out here and punk someone, that s*** ain't happening."
Not only was Barnes not ejected, he went on to hit the game-winning runner.

Barnes is entering the final year of his current deal with the Lakers, set to make $1.9 million in 2011-2012. He averaged 6.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 19.2 minutes last season.

Here's video of the aftermath of the fight courtesy of YouTube user pcnc2011

This video is worthless.  Why did you bother to post it, in support of the story, when absolutely nothing of relevance is shown here?
I agree. If someone caught the punch or elbows, post that. Who cares about the aftermath?

mauxdeverite: What a useless, poorly put together thought. A comment such as that only leads people to believe that you are a coward, as you probably are, and I would like to see you repeat what you just posted while face to face with any one of the following NBA players: Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum, Joakim Noa, Tyson Chandler, Udonis Haslem, LeBron James, Derrick Rose, Kevin Garnett, Zach Randolph, Serge Ibaka, Carmelo Anthony, Marcus Camby, Elton Brand, Nene, Amar'e Stoudemire, etc etc... Please respond if you think you can take anyone of these players (If I had more time I would make a much longer list.)

These guys aren't even human. They're closer to being animals. There is no such thing as a tough NBA player. A bunch of skinny wannabes that wear baggy pants to cover up their bird legs. Tough guys. Don't think so.

Mr. Barnes, if you consider yourself a "grown man" then quit acting like a kid. A grown man is mature enough to walk away and not throw a punch.

Embarrassed

Thanks, Matt, for representing where you came from sooo well. Del Campo must be so proud right along with someone who once upon a time you NEVER would have embarrassed like that.  Try harder please.

Some of these players or fans are freaking stupid. You know if you talk smack to players like Barnes, Beasley, Artest, and or Bynum, they're going to retaliate, especially if it's not played under the confine of the NBA. Some of these people are just asking for trouble and I know some people here will disagree but these players are humans and if you say something bad enough to get under their skin and if they know they can get away with it, you better watch out, they will retaliate and sometimes justifiably so.

It's funny what a little bit of money and neck tattoos can do for your toughness.

He wasn't doing these things when he was playing at UCLA or trying to make it in NBDL and the ABA.

And when he got the domestic violence charges was that because his wife was roughing him up?  He  should do a year in jail for each charge.
