Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh has an emotional reaction to losing the NBA Finals. Posted by Ben Golliver.

Following the Miami Heat's Game 6 loss to the Dallas Mavericks -- a loss that gave the Mavericks their first NBA title -- cameras caught Heat forward Chris Bosh collapsing under the emotional weight of the moment.

Bosh, heading to the tunnel, doubled over, clutching both of his knees as his teammates attended to him. He then fell to his knees and appeared to use his arms to brace himself against the ground as he collapsed. The camera cut back to the on-court scene, but later found Bosh again as he walked towards the Heat locker room. He wiped his face and staggered a bit, with Heat reserve center Erick Dampier consoling him with a hand around his waist.

Bosh finished with 19 points and eight rebounds in 39 minutes. For the Finals, Bosh averaged 18.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 39.8 minutes per game.

The loss ended an emotional season for Bosh and the Heat, as he decided to join teammates Dwyane Wade and LeBron James in Miami rather than return to play for the Toronto Raptors, the only NBA team he had played for prior to this season.

Here's video of Bosh's emotional reaction to losing the 2011 NBA Finals.

Moe, Bosh does his best work on his knees anyway.

It's all blown out, just like Chris Bosh. Now we know why he wears knee pads. Wow. That just happened. Wow.

This heat team reminds me somewhat of Phi Slamma  That Coach Spolestra sucks though...I know it was over when he kept saying "Stay the course...".  You just don't use a Bushism if you want to win and especially one where you're saying "Stay the course..." when you are currently losing!  That team needs a real coach...Spolestra is the NBA's version of Wade Phillips.

Lots of testosterone flowing on this blog.  I dont get the issue with him crying.  He just lost the championship.  It takes a man to be able to cry in public or around other men.  Its called emotional maturity to be able to express yourself instead of punching a hole in the wall and breaking your hand. The only way i can have respect for some of these people questioning Bosh as a man would be if they never cried in their life.  We all cried when we were little so its obviously a natural reaction.  I cried when my daughters were born so I realized the ability was still there.  What happened to us as men that makes us decide that crying means you are weak?  Everyone of us remembers the picked on kid who went to town on some bully all the while cryiing as they beat him to a pulp.  Nothing wrong with crying.  Shows you care and releases pent up emotions.

Don't most men cry - at least in the locker room?

From elementary school thru college & even the pros?  I've seen it ine the NCAA AND the pros - what's the big deal?  He could barely make it to the locker room, but once he did, I'm sure they were ALL bawling!  I agree he has heart.  I watched the press conference where LBJ said "..8 titles..." & Wade immodestly referred to the three of them as "arguably the best three in the NBA"!  All Bosh did was laugh & duck his head - he seemed a little overwhelmed by all the attention.  Not Wade & James - they actined like they desrved nothing less - I like Bosh out of the three!

Yes they handled the situation(The Decision) poorly. James and Wade continuing to have their press conferences together leaving Bosh out of their little personal circle should have left Bosh wondering, why did I do this to myself. There was too much Batman and Robin stuff going on, leaving Bosh to play Aquaman. However, when did this conversation or article turn Racial? You interjected a reference to Anglo Saxon Republicans (white Anglo Saxon Capitalists?), Obama (the first black president), Great White Hope and black players. You also alluded to the fact. neither Dirk nor Larry Byrd, would not be great without the help of black players. I know you stated Byrd's own hypothesis, but that in itself doesn't make it a fact. The reply you made to this article had very little to do with the substance of the discussion and more to do with your own bitterness to how these guys were treated or perceived due to the color of their skin. This article never angles to the fact these guys are all of African American descent and your attempt to make it so just screams of the abscense of an argument on your part. Whites, Blacks, Latinos, Asians and all other races and creeds need to get over their own color and see things for what they are... the better team won and the Heat players handled not only this series but their entire coming together poorly and with immaturity and poor taste. Stop playing the victim and discuss situations in life without interjecting racial stereotypes and bigotted points of veiw. This is the 21st century and a lot has changed, however; we are not going to get anywhere with race relations re-living or re-hashing old arguments.

I read the other comments and I did not know there were so many people out there but very little humans.

Of course Chirs will cry, he left a main position in TO to win the championships and they didn't win.  I guess some of these bloggers never saw their child being born or achieved a long time goal, better yet just missed out on that goal.

Chris you did a great job and I would take you over any of these negative losers any day.  You played hard and with your heart, signs of a real man .

Congrats to Jason Kidd, future hall of famer and Dirk who was also called soft.   Stay soft Bosh you are in good company.

Next year MIAMI HEAT or TORONTO RAPTORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miami Heat are continuously criticized for their mistakes b/c they keep making the same ones over and over and over again.   Even just recently they were mocking Dirk's illness...and this was just last week.  They just never learn.   Their entire season was filled with cockiness, arrogance, and this ridiculous sense of entitlement.  Boston's Big 3 got together the right way...not to mention they were a little older.   Miami's Big 3 got together the wrong way.  And then they threw a BIG Celebration promising Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7 championships.  Bascally alluding to themselves as a dynasty before they even had their first practice.   When they lost for stretches during the season they bitched and whined and played victims..."Everyone wants Miami to fail."  And when they won for stretches during the season...they acted all cocky and arrogant as if everything was in the bag.  They were media whores.  "Hollywood as Hell."  Never Humble. And they just would not quit.  They needed to loose to bring themselves back down to earth.
