LeBron James hides during intros in Cleveland

Miami Heat forward LeBron James skipped player introductions during his second return to Cleveland. Posted by Ben Golliver and Matt Moore.

Update 10:21 p.m.: LeBron told reporters post-game that he missed the introductions because he was in the bathroom. No, we're not kidding. From the South Florida Sun-Sentinel: "I was using the rest room. Am I allowed to do that?"

Well, yes, LeBrron, you are. But we're also allowed to believe that is a totally absurd answer considering you've been in the league for coming up on eight years and have been in hundreds of lineup introductions. When you have to go, you have to go, but this doesn't really fly considering he then dropped a triple-double.

Original post: On Tuesday night, Miami Heat forward LeBron James made his second return trip to Cleveland since he decided to take his talents to South Beach last summer. Earlier this week, James said that he believed that the reception in Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena wouldn't be as bad as the first time through, when the boos rained down and Cavaliers fans showed up with signs and t-shirts in an attempt to mock and shame him.

During his first trip back to Cleveland, James confronted the crowd and the Cavs head on, doing his standard chalk toss and talking trash throughout the game. On Tuesday night, things went a bit differently. When his name was called during player introductions, James was nowhere to be found, as he was apparently hiding off court. According to an ESPN reporter at the game, James did not appear on the Heat bench until the court until the lights were dimmed when the Cavaliers players were being announced.

Here's video of James' player introduction with James putting the MIA in Miami.

For months, James has steadfastedly refused to apologize for his decision on multiple occasions, and that's his right. But it's Cleveland's right to still be mad, and James shouldn't have tried to hide from that. He made The Decision and with his choice came a lot of consequences; going out of his way to avoid the nastiest of those consequences is unfortunate.

LeBron James hides during intros in Cleveland

I don't think this article was about Jame's talent. It was about his character which is woefully lacking. The Heat can't afford bench players with the three "narcassists" they have on the court. Lebron quit in the playoffs last year, thus the Cavs did loose bc of Lebron. We were all witnesses to that fact. The Heat will not succeed because the playoffs are about team basketball not about personal promotion.

LeBron James hides during intros in Cleveland

That is truly amazing that the writer believes he hid during intros.  I could see if he had done that the first meeting but he went out and ran over the Cavs like a freight train.  He said he had to go.  Why is that so hard to believe?  What could he gain by hiding?  He already faced it once and dealt with it so what is different about this time?

LeBron James hides during intros in Cleveland

to culdrish,
get your head out of your stupid ass. they didnt lose because of King LeBron James. he dropped a triple double on the shit that call themselves the cleveland caviliers. the miami heat never lose because LeBron didnt pull his weight, or LeBron didnt get his. anytime they lose its because bosh no showed, or bc wade bricked another thousand layups, LeBron is the most consistant player on HIS team and in the league. hell, cleveland never lost bc of LeBron. he never won a championship in cleveland, bc dan gilbert brought in ppl like ben wallace(past his prime), wally szcerbiak(never had a prime), delonte west(never had a prime), and shaq(past his prime). i dont think anyone could win a championship w role players like that. wallace and shaq were once good but now they just old bodies not good for anything but keeping the bench warm. if gilbert would stop sending emails and tweets and actually worry about his basketball team, maybe LeBron would have stayed. but no one can win with the players that are in cleveland. thats why baron davis went on suicide watch when he got traded there. LeBron cant help that he wanted to play for someone who knew how to win championships, and thats the great Pat Riley. Riley is gonna provide LeBron with his first championship ring and then many more when the heatles pick up some decent bench players. the bench is their biggest problem and thats the reason that they lose games. theyve only lost 23 games this year but for some reason everyone thinks theyr a bust. just wait til the playoffs. the celtics, lakers, and spurs are just a bunch of old men who wont last throught the playoffs so the only real threat to the heatles this year is the bulls and they are VASTLY overrated. D-Rose is a good player, but hes no LeBron and never will be. theres no question that LeBron is the best player in the NBA but rose gets the popular vote bc most ppl dont like LeBron anymore, which is a shame bc We Are All Witnesses to his greatness

LeBron James hides during intros in Cleveland

Get off the guy's Johnson already. Why would he hide? What is he hiding from? Boos? He's been booed plenty already, it's pretty common for him now. Maybe he had to take a Shatner and couldn't hold it anymore. Villifying Lebron is really getting old. No, I'm not a Miami fan, I'm a Knicker for life!

LeBron James hides during intros in Cleveland

Lets think about this...would MJ, Kobe, Magic, or Bird ever have hid in the locker room during introductions?  The guy has to be the biggest puss alive.  No wonder Delonte was hitting his mom.  Nobody respects LBJ, not even his teammates.  Long live the Queen.

LeBron James hides during intros in Cleveland

LeBron always has excuses for whatever wrong he does and his attitude is like many have commented already, a bitch. He won't stop justifying himself and make himself sound self-righteous. I think the nickname "King James" messed up with his head and he has this delusional view of the world thinking whatever he does is okay because he's LeBron James.

Another classless act from LBJ. He's like Linsday Lohan. He just can't stop drawing attention to himself.
