According to the Boston Globe, Marquis Daniels' agent, Mark Bartelstein, has indicated Daniels will undergo surgery on his bruised spinal cord next Wednesday. Daniels bruised his spinal cord in a scary incident that happened Feb. 6 against the Magic while he was still with the Celtics.
Daniels of course was traded by the Celtics to the Kings at the deadline. His season is over but the hope is the injury doesn't end his career. That's a big reason for the surgery. He will be a free agent this summer so successful surgery and a good comeback is definitely necessary for Daniels to land a new contract.
He's a player that definitely had value to the Celtics pre-injury, but there will be concerns for him wherever he goes next.
