An hour after the buzzer, Kobe went back to work

It's what makes Kobe Bryant, well, Kobe Bryant. It's the reason he has 27,447 career points. It's one of the reasons he has five championship rings.

More than an hour after the Lakers lost a grueling game to the Heat 94-88 in which Kobe missed his last three shots and had two turnovers in the final three minutes, he took back to the court to get some work in.

It's the reason he is who he is. Obsessive about his game, to the point of near compulsion. The Lakers aren't flying out to Dallas until Friday morning, so it presented Bryant a rare opportunity to go back to work. And as we know how Kobe is, he's not going to miss the chance.

One reporter even tweeted
that Heat coach Erik Spoelstra came out to take a look. It's not surprising, because how else do you think he became Kobe Bryant, but it definitely is very cool. Especially with the way the game ended.

Lakers-Heat
Kobe was far from satisfied. A lot of players that are as insanely competitive as Bryant often kind of retreat to the hardwood for refuge. They can't change what happened, but they can at least try and get a little better so that it doesn't happen again.

Kobe said after his workout, which included going to the weight room, "This is my job."

There is always the talk about the great ones being the first in the gym and the last to leave. The gym is their true home. Their house is just where they sometimes sleep. I'm sure this isn't the first time a cleaning crew will have come up to Kobe and asked him to leave. And it probably won't be the last either. (Though Kevin Ding of the OC Register tweeted, "In more than a decade covering Kobe, I haven't seen him do this before.")

I did like what Kelly Dwyer of Ball Don't Lie tweeted though: "Pau is still open."

Well he's not worried about the regular season. The Heat will be alright because they can "lose the rest of the regular season and still make the playoffs". He knows it will all be a cakewalk to his self proclaimed 7,8,9 championships. LOLOLOL

Love or hate Kobe, the reason for his success has been his work ethic. Has Lebron ever put in an extra hour? I doubt it: he spends his time smoozing with his entourage in and around his Ferrari.

They say your greatest strength is also your greatest weakness.  I have always thought Kobe shot way too much and I may be slow but I just figured out why.  I think he actually may be more competative than MJ was.  That flaws him in a way that I do not think he will ever understand. Wade, lately, has been able to get to Kobe unlike any other player has in the league. He is undeniably the most talented player in the game today but he has a meltdown everytime he is challenged. His response is almost child like sometime. He will viciously try to one up anyone that challenges him.  On one hand I have seen him win games with "bad" shots and I have slso saw him shoot his team in the foot like he did tonite.  I really wonder if he is ever going to get it.  Everytime I think he gas gotten past it he does it again.
